2 teams represented school in Public Speaking final

posted 2 Dec 2016, 01:21 by Eimear Guiney
Thursday December 1st was a night to remember for our school as we had not one but two teams from 5th + 6th class in the IRD Duhallow Primary School Public Speaking Competition.
Both teams qualified for the final and had to write 2 new speeches on their given topic.
Our first team of Abigail Enright, Heather O' Toole, Paul Levitt Murphy and Daniela Woolham spoke on the topic "Children are too easily led by celebrities."
The other team of Muireann Fitzpatrick, Irene Kelligher, Isobel Kelligher and Gemma Healy discussed "The school holidays should be longer."
All eight speakers delivered their speeches in a confidant and professional manner which made their school and families extremely proud.
Well done to the team of Muireann Fitzpatrick, Irene Kelligher, Isobel Kelligher and Gemma Healy who were awarded runner-up. With such a high standard all teams were winners.
The hard work and enthusiasm from both teams reflected during their performance on the night.
Take a look a some photos of the teams and their proud supporters.
