Perceptions 2016

“Inclusion” was an art project involving 20 pupils from Liscarroll National School and Artist / Art Therapist Deirdre Nagle, which explored the notion that everybody should be treated equally without expectations or limitations.

Nine individual art works and one group piece from the Liscarroll N.S. workshops are being exhibited in Perceptions 2016 : Access and Participation which is an exhibition that takes place in Cork City from September 9th to October 29th 2016.

The event aims to broaden the range of voices, visions, perceptions and approaches to creativity that the public engages with in cultural venues. The art pieces that our pupils created are currently being exhibited in CIT-CCAD, Sullivan’s Quay Campus.

Our pupils who participated were taken to Cork on September 27th to see their art on display on Sullivan’s Quay.

They were then taken to the Crawford Art Gallery to participate in an “All In White” workshop which is a still life workshop in conjunction with GASP (Glasheen Art Studio Program). The pupils worked alongside people with intellectual disabilities creating art in white.

We are so proud of our pupils and would encourage all parents to take a look when next they are in Cork City.
