Green Schools Committee

Liscarroll National School had a busy two years working towards achieving their Green Schools flag. The theme for this flag was "travel".Each class carried out surveys to find out what was the most common method of transport to school "Car" was the most popular. We looked at ways of trying to change this, but because the school is in a rural setting it was difficult to change the outcome. Different competitions were held throughout the school years to create awareness to ensure the 7 steps had been carried out to achieve the flag. At the beginning of May some of the committee members attended a ceremony in Cork to receive the Green flag. Well done to everyone on this great achievement.
