Here is a timetable of events in support of International ASD day. 

This day is the 2 April and people often celebrate ASD specifically on the month of April. 

We will doing several activities on the 1-4 April to show our support for ASD.


Announcement of  Art competition at assembly.  Ms Healy will provide a template for the art competition. Ms Guiney will judge and present the prizes for each class ( this will be done on Friday)

The classes in Lios Curam  will have a large art display outside the office in support of “light it up blue for Autism”.

There will be signs “ light it up blue in the school”. This should be brought to the children’s attention and they should understand what they are for.


Girls have the option of getting their nails painted blue by Lindsay and helpers.

There will be tye dying of sheets. There will be one sheet per class. These sheets will have messages/ pictures painted on them.


All staff and pupils will wear some blue.

There will be a blue workshop in the hall. Classes will be given their allocated time to go to the hall. The workshops will include

1.Dying flowers blue.

2. Bake something blue- this will be done with a dough that blue dye can be added to. Children can mould it into the shape they would like.

3. Blue painting. Others textured materials can also be used.

4. Construction- using lego, building blocks and other building material children can explore and construct objects they would like.


Sports day- organised by the student council. Timetable for classes in mainstream for the specific time. If it does not suit please try swap with another class.


Have a blue disco in the Halla. Art competition winners to be announced.
