We are very excited to announce here in Liscarroll N.S. that we have been awarded our first Amber Flag. This aims at promoting positive mental health and well-being in the school for staff and pupils alike.
We were honoured to have local Commnuity Nurse and great friend to the school, Pat O’Brien present to raise our Amber flag.  Pat was a member of the Board of Management of the school for over 20 years. We also  were delighted to have Pat’s nephew, past pupil and Cork hurler Colin O’ Brien back to join us at these celebrations.
Matthew Crowley, 6th class pupil from the Student Council helped raise the Amber flag.  Students wore amber coloured clothes to mark the occasion.  There was a chocolate mindfulness session in each class which was most enjoyable. Pupils also engaged in mindful art activities.
