Classroom news

Our theme this week is  ‘My Feelings’ / Friendship Week

In class  we learned about 'feeling happy, sad, angry, etc and did great work in their scrapbooks. In art and craft class the boys did lovely hand paints for a display setting for 'Grandparents Day' . All the boys made beautiful hanging love hearts and paintings in class.  They attended 6th class art / craft class and each made St Valentines day cards for their Mammies and Daddies and love bugs were made with clay. During cookery class we made heart shaped cookies.

In class we learned a lovely song' How do you feel today'.

One of our boys  now attends 'Aistear' in Senior Infants class every morning.

It was our older boy’s 13th birthday and we had a lovely party.

Swimming.

All boys  have made significant progress in the pool the last few weeks. Both boys have become more confident and independent in the pool. We will be setting a set of achievable goals for all boys in the pool during the next term.

Outings

Our outing this term is 'Little Rascals' again, a decision made due to the huge success of our last trip here and also taking into account our recent unpredictable weather conditions it was thought best not to travel too far. We had a mega day of fun and more fun. The boys and girls from the Sunshine space and the Cherry Blossom room joined us. Our boys favourite was the big coloured slide. All the boys and girls and staff enjoyed the climbing and sliding! After we had chips and nuggets and juice. Our pictures tell the story the best.
