Here in Liscarroll National School, we pride ourselves at our commitment to e-learning. Some of our current e-learning activities are as follows:
Children from 1st class onwards are creating digital learning portfolios. These are student-owned dynamic digital work-spaces wherein students can capture their learning and their ideas, access their collections of work, reflect on their learning, share it, set goals, seek feedback and showcase their learning and achievements.
All classes have access to our Chromebook trolley (which stores and charges 30 Chromebooks) at least once per week. Recently the school purchased a second trolley of Chromebooks which is being added to every year.
Our senior classes learn how to code during STEM time. This week, the children were learning how to code their very own video game.
